This dog is my mother in law's which she can no longer take care of.
Her husband has recently and suddenly passed away and this unfortunate and unforeseen event has left her in a position where she can no longer take care of him. Having to give him up is incredibly distressing and upsetting to her as it was her late husband's dog but for the dogs best interest we must look for him to be rehomed.
He needs attention and training (obedience) which she does not have the capacity to give at this time. He is excellent with other dogs and children, housetrained and he's very submissive. He is microchipped and has all up to date vaccinations and is nurtured.
He has lots of energy. Enjoys himself in dog parks and plays with every dog he sees. He is very submissive and would enjoy to live with another dog as a companion. He is very energetic and needs lots of exercise, has a lovely nature and enjoys human company. He is good with kids and friendly towards people entering the house.
He readily gives up toys and food for owner but will need training walking on a lead and passing other dogs as he wants to greet every dog he sees. He also has separation anxiety which needs to be worked on.
As this dog meant so much to my late father in law he will be going to the right home not the first home. A house visit will be needed to ensure the person taking him can rightly take care of him.
