Looking for a forever home for my miniature dachshund called Pip. She's a lovely dog and does have basic training (Name recall, sit, stay, leave, wait and go) she does generally do her business outside unless she's caught short. She can be very demanding for attention and I wont lie has started to bark a lot, until she gets that from me specifically, and as a mum of two young children I've found it incredibly difficult to provide that for her. Unfortunately, she has had a change in behaviour around food towards my youngest daughter who is only one. She has started to act in a territorial way, growl and try to show dominance over her food; unfortunately as small as she is I feel I cannot take the risk she poses around my baby .
Despite this, she is very loving and playful around my kids and clearly loves them both. She's never been vicious or aggressive, so the food dominance issue could be resolved with time and training .
Pip is still only a baby (only just turned one) and requires and craves a lot of attention. Sadly, with a change in my personal circumstances at the moment, I just can't give her what she needs anymore. I know the best thing for us all is if she had someone who can love, dote on her and give her all time and training that she deserves.
I'm gutted I have had to come to this conclusion as I truly love her to absolute bits; she's a great little companion with lots of character, so i can't just give her to just anyone: I need to know she's matched with a new loving caring owner.
She is fully vaccinated and is micro chipped. Flea and worming is up to date.
Ideally that person would preferably be someone without children with plenty of time to dedicate to her.
Send me a message if you're interested and we can discuss things further.
